Who we are, what makes us tick and why we’re the team
to help you supercharge your impact.
Our Mission
Our mission is to amplify the impact of 1,000 organizations by streamlining their digital operations and freeing them to focus on what truly matters. We aim to empower nonprofits with the strategies, tools and methodologies needed to maximize their reach and effectiveness, ultimately creating a ripple effect of positive change in communities worldwide.
MORE THAN JUST TECH EXPERTS...
Purpose-driven, People-centred,
Impact-obsessed
At Optimi, we specialize in "digital plumbing"—integrating, optimizing, coaching and advising your nonprofit in how to get the most out of your digital tools to fully support your mission.
Optimi - /ɒpˈtɪmaɪ/ is short for optimization. Core to everything we do.
We prioritize effectiveness over mere efficiency, giving you more time to focus on what truly matters, rather than getting caught up in productivity for its own sake.
Our approach caters to both executive-level roles and those working hands-on with the tools, alleviating feelings of overwhelm. The best part? You don’t need to know tech speak to speak with us!
We tackle challenges like admin overwhelm and tech debt with a strategic approach, ensuring we understand the big picture before diving in.
We believe in a modular approach, customizing solutions to fit your unique needs and empowering you to manage your tech where possible. By prioritizing your organization's culture, we ensure technology adapts to your requirements, not the other way around. With Optimi, you gain more than just a service provider; you gain a partner committed to enhancing your impact.
We emerged from a desire to transform how nonprofits operate. We recognize that daily administrative tasks can overshadow your mission's core goals, whether it's expanding your nonprofit's reach or enhancing personal connections. Our team combines technical expertise with strategic business analysis to pinpoint the tools and automations that will truly elevate your organization's impact.
Our approach minimizes complex coding, ensuring you aren't tied down by intricate systems. We prioritize understanding your team's processes, communicating in straightforward terms—hence our term "digital plumbing." It's a privilege to empower our clients, helping them save time and resources while making a meaningful impact.
“Optimi has been an invaluable, values-aligned partner for The Gift Trust since 2019. Their expertise in scaling systems and technical capabilities have been instrumental in our growth and success and has helped increase philanthropic giving in New Zealand. Even during times when our budgets were tight, Optimi was there to provide unwavering support and guidance. Their coaching and training have empowered us to become more self-sufficient, while their innovative approach to technology has allowed us to offer an online service for our donors that would have been near impossible with our budget and a traditional IT approach. We are grateful for their partnership and look forward to continuing our work together in the future.”
— CHERYL, EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, PHILANTHROPY
“Working with Optimi was a game-changer for us. Their commitment and expertise not only stabilized our systems but also reinstated our peace of mind. They're super proactive, easy to get hold of, and quick to respond, freeing us up to focus on providing mental health and wellbeing services. I wholeheartedly recommend them”
